Tukaram, Poem 640

May me fail to find food or beget children, if
only Narayana will be merciful to me. Thus
my own speech advises me, and I declared it also
to mankind. Though my body fall into shame or
want, let Narayana dwell in my thoughts. Tuka
says, All this world is perishable; so far as we
remember Gopala, we gain something.
