Tukaram, Poem 587

I will keep before my thoughts His delicate feet, the treasure chamber of all happiness. I will keep on my lips His name, that is like a creeper yielding nectar; my body shall be at rest. I will gaze on His fair and beauteous face—a mine of all lovely charms. I will cling to Him like a child; I will sit on His thigh and will never rise. Tuka says, He becomes what we have made Him; I have embraced in my spirit the happiness that Vitthoba gives.
