Tukaram, Poem 492

Namas has shown me a simple path: I
need neither austerities of diet nor any other
means. I must praise God in this base age of the
world, then he will come to me. I need not leave
business or public life, I need not take to the jungle,
smear myself with ashes, or mortify my body.
Tuka says, I deem all other sources idle, save thy
name alone!
