Tukaram, Poem 458

If you will give me a rosary, I will fall at your feet: who throws himself before anybody for nothing? When people see a profit in the account book, they believe in it; if a man is liberal, he is respected. If you mean to be liberal in return for my service, pray send me a mark of favour speedily. Tuka says, If you turn miser, who will look over the credit of your name?
