Tukaram, Poem 438

Do but this, O God, at my request; burn up
my pride, root and branch. Do but this;
let me see Thee in everything with impartial eye.
Let me place on my head with reverence the dust
from the saints’ feet. Hear but this prayer, O
Lord of Pandhari, dwell in my heart day and night.
Tuka says, I have come to Thee, O save me, un-
reasoning as my faith may be!
