Tukaram, Poem 434

Be not vexed at our antique speech; you are
our mother and we your darling children.
O Mother! Vitha, give each of us, great and small,
tender morsels of your love! Respond to our fond
desire! Whether we have faith or not, we have come
to Thee. Now, O Lord of Pandhari, look upon us
kindly! We are Your foolish errant children, says
Tuka; dissever by Your name the meshes of this
world.
