Tukaram, Poem 394

Since I have ceased to be his servant, I will
speak in my lord’s presence as my experience
directs me. Why do you not answer? I spend
my powers in earnest cries. How can the sweet-
ness of trust be born, when there is no pleasant
savour of love? Tuka says, O wise prince, bethink
thee of this, O Lord of the senses.
