Tukaram, Poem 380

How can we constrain you, unless you show
us mercy, by any confidence or anticipation
of ours! We shall be henceforth as wretched as
before, uttering piteous cries. We shall be full of
fear and anxious thought; to what shall we attach
ourselves? Tuka says, Our life is void of faith and
therefore God remains far from us.
