Tukaram, Poem 378

The store of my past is unpleasing to me; my
heart is chafed and troubled unwittingly. I
have strayed from the path; in the world I have
played many a worldly part. It is well that my
eyes are opened, that I have found a boatman.
Tuka says, If you hear my piteous cry, at once, O
Narayana, leap across the stream.
