Tukaram, Poem 103

Namadeva came with Panduranga, and
roused me in a dream. “I appoint you
a task, write poetry, do not talk of vain affairs.”
Namadeva counted his own verses, Vitthala
kept the tally; he told me the total he arrived at,
a hundred crores. “What is left undone, you
must finish, O Tuka.”
