1. I love Him, for Yahweh hears
my voice, my supplications.
2. For He has inclined His ear to me,
and all my life I will call upon Him.
3. The bonds of death encompassed me,
and the anguish of Sheol had seized me;
I was beset by distress and affliction.
4. And I called upon the name of Yahweh:
“Yahweh, save my soul!”
5. Yahweh is merciful and just,
our God is compassionate.
6. Yahweh guards the weak;
I was wretched, and He saved me.
7. Return to thy rest, O my soul;
for Yahweh has showered thee with good things.
8. Yea, Thou hast saved my soul from death,
mine eye from tears,
my feet from falling.
9. I will yet walk before Yahweh,
in the land of the living.
10. I have faith, even as I say:
“I am exceedingly wretched.”
11. I said in my dejection:
“Every man is a liar.”
12. What shall I render unto Yahweh
for all His benefits toward me!

Thy servant, the son of Thy handmaid,
