Psalms, chapter 66

1. Unto the end, in, hymns, a psalm of a canticle for David.
2. May God have mercy on us, and bless us: may He cause the light of his countenance to shine upon us, and may he have mercy on us.
3. That we may know Thy way upon earth: Thy salvation in all nations.
4. Let people confess to thee, O God: let all people give praise to thee.
5. Let the nations be glad and rejoice: for Thou judgest the people with justice, and directest the nations upon earth.
6. Let the people, O God, confess to thee: let all the people give praise to thee:
7. The earth hath yielded her fruit. May God, our God bless us,
8. May God bless us: and all the ends of the earth fear Him.
11. Thou hast brought us into the net;
Thou hast laid a burden upon our loins.
12. Thou hast made men ride over our heads;
we have passed through fire and water;
but Thou hast brought us out to abundance.
13. I come into Thy house with burnt offerings,
to pay Thee my vows,
14. which my lips have uttered,
which my mouth hath spoken in the day of my distress.
15. I offer Thee fat sheep as burnt offerings,
with the smoke of rams;
I sacrifice the bullock with the young goat. — Selah.
16. Come, hear, and I will tell you,
all ye that fear God,
what He hath done for my soul.
17. I cried unto Him with my mouth,
and His praise was upon my tongue.
18. If I had seen iniquity in my heart,
the Lord would not have heard me.
19. But God hath heard me,
He hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
20. Blessed be God,
who hath not rejected my prayer,
nor withdrawn His grace from me!
