1. For behold, in those days and at that time,
when I shall bring back the captives of Judah and Jerusalem,
2. I will gather all the nations,
and bring them down into the valley of Josaphat;
and there will I enter into judgment with them,
concerning My people and My inheritance Israel,
whom they have scattered among the nations,
and My land, which they have divided.
3. For they have cast lots for My people,
they have given the boy for a harlot,
and sold the girl for wine, and have drunk it.
4. And ye also, what have ye to do with Me, O Tyre and Sidon,
and all the districts of Philistia?
Would ye take vengeance on Me?
But if ye provoke Me, I will swiftly,
speedily bring your provocation back upon your own head;
5. ye who have taken My silver and My gold, and have carried My most precious jewels into your temples;

to a distant people;
for Yahweh hath spoken.
9. Publish this among the nations:
Prepare for war!
Rouse the mighty!
Let them draw near, let them come up,
all the men of war!
10. Beat your ploughshares into swords,
and your pruning-hooks into spears;
let the weak say: “I am a mighty man!”
11. Hasten and come,
all ye nations round about, and gather yourselves together!
There, O Yahweh, bring down Thy mighty ones!
12. Let the nations arise and come up
to the valley of Josaphat!
For there will I sit to judge

8. I will sell your sons and your daughters into the hands of the children of Judah,
who shall sell them to the Sabeans,
to a distant people;
for Yahweh hath spoken.

for their wickedness is great.
14. Multitudes, multitudes
in the valley of decision!
15. The sun and the moon are darkened,
and the stars have lost their brightness.
16. From Sion Yahweh shall roar,
from Jerusalem He shall make His voice heard;
the heavens and the earth shall tremble.
But Yahweh shall be a refuge for His people,
a retreat for the children of Israel.
17. And ye shall know that I am Yahweh, your God,
Who dwelleth in Sion, My holy mountain;
Jerusalem shall be a sanctuary,
and strangers shall pass through it no more.
18. In that day the mountains shall drip with new wine,
the hills shall flow with milk,
and all the streams of Juda shall flow with water.
A spring shall come forth from the house of Yahweh,
and it shall water the valley of the Acacias.
19. Egypt shall become a desolate land,
Edom a desert of desolation,
because of the violence committed against the children of Juda,
because they have shed innocent blood in their land.
